Georgia A. Wolf Craig Atteberry,
wife of John Edward Atteberry:
Coalgate Courier, 24 Sep 1931:
"Mrs. Atterberry [s/b Atteberry] Killed Here Saturday"



"Mrs. John Atterberry, 68 years of age, whose home was at Seminole, died here at 10:00 p.m. after being injured in a car accident in which the car she was riding in is said to have turned over three times after being struck by a car driven by Mrs. J.B. Clark.

"In the Ford roadster in which Mrs. Atterberry was riding, coming to Coalgate to visit her daughter, Mrs. H. L. Green, was her son, Jack Atterberry, and grandson Vernon Creig [s/b Craig] and wife.

The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. "Mrs. Atterberry was the only one seriously hurt in the accident. The accident is said to have been unavoidable.

"Mrs. Atterberry is survived by her husband, John Edward Atterberry one son, Jack Atterberry [John Quincy Atteberry], of Seminole, and her daughter, Mrs. H.L. Green [Precious Jewel Atteberry Green] of Coalgate.

"Burial was at Balls Chapel, southwest of Lehigh, Sunday afternoon."
Balls Chapel Cemetery is located in Atoka County
