George M. Ned

Mr. Ned was born December 22, 1930 in Oklahoma City to Abe and lena Carr Ned and passed away
March 24, 2003 at Atoka at the age of 72. He married Charlotte Bartels on February 21, 1951
in Phoenix, AZ and was a truck driver.
Funeral services for George M. Ned of Coalgate held Friday, March 28, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.
at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Weathers and Rev. Bob Trail officiating.
Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Epperson Funeral
Service of Coalgate.
Survivors include four sons, George Ned Jr. of St. John's, AZ, Tom Ned of Okemah, OK,
Bill Ned of Ajo, AZ, and Charles Ned of Okemah, OK; six sisters, Ozella Dayton of Ada, OK;
Doris Kent of Newkirk, OK; Betty Perrier of Shawnee, OK; Bobby Simmons of Talihina, OK;
Nina Johnston of Coalgate, OK and Edith Mobbs of Atoka, OK; one brother, Dennis Ned of
Owyhee, Nevada and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Ned, parents, and one sister Maxine Jacob.
Pallbearers include Jim Hampton, Frank Grigg, George Ned, Jr., Tom Ned, Bill Ned, and Charles Ned.
Honorary bearers include Bill Greenwood, Joe Shatswell, Roger Christianson and John Berry.
