Territorial Melange
GEORGE W. TAYLOR, a farmer living near South Canadian, I.T., while going to Krebs where he sold 2 carloads of potatoes was held up by two masked men and robbed of $500 recently.
At Guthrie, CALLIE WILSON, colored, is in jail.
JOHN TURNER killed a huge panther measuring 8 _ feet long head to tail near Guthrie.
At Kiowa, I. T. recently, L. F. GEORGE was shot and killed by an unknown party.
GEORGE PATTERSON offers $7 reward for the return of a sorrel horse…
MORGAN & STAPP have purchased the J. C. PARKER blacksmith shop…
Last Saturday, Mr. MOONEY while out gunning, got a bad fall, running a piece of burned snag through the leaders of his wrist, Dr. HUME removed it and dressed the wound.
Monday of this week, the doctor also cut out a good sized sliver from the hand of a child of TOM TURNER.
The Coalgate Cornet Band will give a grand ball at FARRIMOND’s opera house January 22 for the purpose of assisting the band in paying for their instruments.
Good music will be furnished by Jackson’s orchestra and admission is 75 cents…
